CARVALHAL

Carvalhal is the largest and most diverse of our properties. Since it was acquired in 2019, several training and pruning have already been carried out on most trees so that they grow strong, healthy and with reduced risk of fire.

This property consists mainly of cork oak, black oak, stone pinemaritime pine and buçaco cedar. In addition to these forest species, it also has a recent plantation of chestnut and pistachios. Several species were also recently planted (european nettle tree, ash , sycamore, ...) on the banks of the various watercourses that cross the property and also on some of its boundaries.

Carvalhal has its own dam with an area of about 2.5 ha, which in addition to irrigation, can be used for swimming and fishing. It is also possible to camp next to the dam, in areas shaded by mature trees.

In terms of fauna, there are deer, fallow deer, hares, foxes, wild ducks, tortoises, wild boars and many others on the property. Some of these (eg deer ) are easily spotted on a walk around the property in the morning.
