We have corrected the stone pine density in Carvalhal to give the trees space to develop in the best way possible.
The trees that were cut were transformed into chips - most were used for electricity production and some were applied to our plantations, in order to lower soil temperature, conserve moisture (increasing irrigation efficiency) and as a long-lasting natural fertilizer.
