Herdade do Russo was acquired in 2016. It consisted of old eucalyptus trees and an area of decaying cork oaks . Since then, a new eucalyptus plantation has been carried out, having reserved a strip of approximately 3 hectares for cork oaks. New cork oaks were also planted and protected in the area formed by old and decrepit trees, in order to guarantee the renewal of the cork oak. There are still some oaks dispersed throughout the property, especially on the northern and southern limits.

The eucalyptus plantation is leased and its management is external. The cork oak areas continue to be managed by RH.
