RIBEIRO DE MARVÃO

Ribeiro de Marvão was the first property to be acquired by RH, in 2015. The property consisted mainly of eucalyptus and maritime pine as well as some isolated cork oaks , requiring considerable intervention to recover the health and productive potential of these trees.

In addition to interventions on existing trees (thinning, fertilization, weed control, etc.), thousands of cork oaks were also sown and planted, including a drip irrigation plantation with around 5,000 of these trees.

There is also an area with holm oaks. adults and several runners of maritime pine and young cork oaks that were born spontaneously and that we have safeguarded with the help of tutors/protectors .

Ribeiro de Marvão also has a natural spring that runs to the small dam that supports the irrigated cork oaks.
