Sequestro de Carbono/Carbon Sequestration

É a captura e armazenagem segura de CO2 que evita a sua emissão e a sua permanência na atmosfera terrestre. A desflorestação é prejudicial para o sequestro de carbono, pois diminui o efeito do mesmo ao eliminar o número de seres fotossintetizantes.
